Dear Matt and the Colorado Democratic Party,

As a Colorado Democrat, I am upset and confused by this last email, urging me to support the CDP to stop a Tea Party tax increase.

Let's get it straight. Please.

We need to pay taxes in order to make this country work. We all need to do our part. The Tea Party whacks and the Ridiculous Right would like to do away with taxes, and strip government down in a misled and misinformed attempt at freedom.

There HAS to be a party that supports the concept of paying taxes, in the face of the barbaric claims that the government is evil and stealing money and run by a foreign-born Muslim communist. Please, do not ask me to fight a tax just because it was a Republican idea and not a Democrat idea. I don't want partisan bickering. I want real, positive, constructive work to be done.
